Designed for learners aged 11+ this course brings education to life through hands-on-outdoor experiences. Develop practical skills, build confidence and deepen your connection with nature while working towards a recognised qualification.
Perfect for those who thrive beyond the classroom!
DETAILS
These are the units available for this course. Those doing the Level 2 Certificate will need to do units totalling at least 17 points and those doing the Extended Certificate would need to do units totalling at least 21 points.
- Personal Safety when Learning in the Outdoors (2)
- Sustainable Use of Natural Resources (1)
- Flora and Fauna of Wales (3)
- Carrying out a Habitat Survey (3)
- Practical Skills in the Outdoors (2)
- Using a Map and Compass (2)
- Introduction of Expedition Skills (1)
- Camp Craft Skills (3)
- The Health Benefits of Being Outdoors (2)
- Using Recycled Materials in Outdoor Learning (2)
There will also be monthly practical workshops taking place at Meadows Wildlife Park. There are two compulsory units and 8 other recommended units These are bookable on our events page at a cost of £15 per session.
